Currently, I am only offering private lessons for students wanting to build a strong positive reinforcement foundation. Because my philosophy is centered on breaking all behaviors down into their smallest trainable pieces, a solid positive reinforcement foundation must be built. When people ask for advice on how to fix problems that were built into behaviors trained with corrections, I always have the same advice: fix the foundation. When behaviors are broken down into small pieces, they can much more easily be fixed by pulling out the broken pieces, fixing the pieces, and then reintegrating those now fixed pieces back into the whole.
Lessons are $65 for a single 50 minute lesson or $240 for six weekly 30 minute lessons.
My Facilities
Most foundational work can be learned in my indoor training room. It is 34 feet by 11 feet with Great Mats flooring. It is large enough for all the rally exercises and for all the novice and open obedience exercises. It is also large enough for many of the foundational pieces of the utility exercises. It is not large enough for the full directed jumping exercise or the full directed retrieve exercise.
In addition, I have a super outside barn facility. It is not heated and cooled, but it is mostly enclosed and totally covered. It is large and also has Great Mats flooring. It is 60 foot by 50 foot and a super facility for practicing all the final pieces of all the obedience exercises in a setting that feels very trial-like to the dog.
